Health Insurance Fraud - According to the Insurance Information Institute, health care providers and facilities such as doctors, hospitals, nursing homes, diagnostic laboratories and lawyers routinely try to fool the system of health insurance … with devastating results.

How do they do it? In several ways, including:

1. Billing insurance companies for costly maintenance, equipment tests or patients never or never received
2. Double-or triple-billing of health insurance for the same treatment
3. Giving recipients of health care that is unnecessary, dangerous, or life-threatening care
4. Selling low-cost health insurance from an insurance company false
5. Stealing and using medical information for health insurance companies for the treatment of ghost billing
